About Curtis
Curtis Spraggins joined DFW Consulting Group in 2017 and has over a decade of Mechanical design and project management experience to his resume.
Since joining DFWCGI, he has become a firm leader in mechanical engineering, project management and business development. In his brief time with the firm, he has worked on many of the most complex design projects to come through our doors. He is a diligent engineer who looks for innovative yet practical solutions for his clients and has built his client base around outstanding customer service. Curtis has spent considerable time working on military, municipal, federal, defense, commercial, educational, religious, broadcast and mission critical facilities. He is actively engaged in the day-to-day details of Mechanical design, quality control, and mentoring of graduate engineers at DFWCGI.
As a member of the project team, he consistently assures that all design work meets the needs of the owner and the exacting standards of the company. Curtis is a licensed Professional Engineer in 5 states, a LEED O&M Certified Professional, a Certified Geothermal Designer and an active ASHRAE member. In addition to his licenses and accreditations, he has an active NCEES record, allowing him to quickly get registered in most states to meet his client’s needs. Curtis earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2009 and earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015. Curtis’s Mechanical Design experience includes chilled water, heating water, steam, DX, energy recovery, commercial kitchen ventilation and geothermal HVAC systems. He is well versed in the design and application of building automation systems, as well as Energy Modeling and other aspects of LEED design. His Plumbing Design experience includes domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, greasy waste, compressed air, deionized water, and medical gas systems. Curtis also has extensive experience with Energy Audits and Predominant Use Utility Studies and has spent time commissioning systems for his clients.
