DFWCGI Strengthens Firm with Addition of Healthcare Industry Leader Laura Cowley, PE

Award-winning electrical engineer brings more than 15 years of healthcare expertise to support the firm’s continued growth and commitment to exceptional client service.

DFWCGI is excited to welcome Laura Cowley, PE, to the firm as an Associate Electrical Director, further strengthening the firm’s Life Sciences practice and reinforcing its commitment to delivering exceptional engineering solutions for complex healthcare facilities.

With more than 15 years of electrical engineering experience, Laura has led the engineering of complex healthcare facilities where reliability and operational continuity are essential. Her experience spans major medical campuses, children’s hospitals, behavioral health facilities, laboratories, and specialty care environments, giving her a deep understanding of the unique operational challenges healthcare providers face. Laura’s addition further strengthens the firm’s ability to support clients through every phase of project delivery, from renovations and infrastructure improvements to new construction and campus expansions.

Throughout her career, Laura has built a reputation that extends well beyond the projects she has delivered. She is passionate about advancing the engineering profession by sharing her knowledge and helping develop the next generation of engineers.

She is a Consulting-Specifying Engineer 40 Under 40 recipient, a published author whose technical articles have appeared in industry publications including Consulting-Specifying Engineer and RACA, and has been a panelist at industry events such as LightFair and the North Texas AMFP Summit. Laura is also actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and the Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP). These accomplishments reflect the same commitment to technical excellence, professional development, and industry leadership that defines DFWCGI’s culture.
