The client was looking to make the transition from bitcoin developer to HPC developer, and this project was the culmination of that transition. A 100% free cooling with evaporative assist data center was designed and constructed in under 16 months to help them move into this emerging market. Equipment prepurchase packages, early release design packages, integrated project delivery with CMAR and detailed CFD modeling, power system modeling, and a collaborative approach to control sequence development with the owner’s preferred commissioning agent streamlined design and execution. The project has a blended PUE of 1.08.
