TCU Schieffer School of Journalism

The scope of the contract consisted of providing MEP design services and construction administration for the renovation and expansion of the J.M. Moudy Visual Arts and Communications Building. The Schieffer School of Journalism at TCU needed its facilities to reflect changes in how news is gathered and shared. Located in the nation’s sixth-largest media market, the school desired a design that reflected converged news gathering and dissemination. The project consists of a new studio and supplementary facilities, all housed within or added to the existing three-story J.M. Moudy Building. The facility improvements included:

  • First floor studio and studio control room
  • Second floor news lab, convergence lab, new media lab
  • Director’s suites, and technical equipment (rack) room
  • Third floor offices and shell space
