The project consisted of 59,000 square feet of renovation area and 3,000 square feet of new construction. Key features of the renovation include a nursing simulation suite, nursing skills lab, and testing center. Other areas include faculty offices, restrooms, student lounge, classrooms, library, and administrative offices. The skills labs and simulation suite include air compressor and vacuum pump system components providing air, oxygen, and vacuum. The building HVAC system consisted of four roof top units, two dedicated outside air units, fan powered terminal units and variable refrigerant flow systems.
The electrical system was entirely reworked downstream of the existing pad mounted utility transformer. A 2000A, 480V main switchboard was provided as well as distribution panels, 480V panelboards, transformers, and associated 208V panels in 4 sub-electrical rooms throughout the building.
