Mechanical Engineer
This position will have the opportunity to design mechanical systems for exciting new construction and renovation projects, with a focus on the design of systems supporting mission-critical facilities. Projects will be multi-discipline, and the ability to adeptly coordinate with other disciplines is required. The ideal candidate will produce drawing markups and specifications; coordinate design requirements with other disciplines, as well as act as the Lead Engineer for the mechanical discipline on assigned projects by reviewing designs and calculations for accuracy and quality and assisting in the overall efforts to effectively manage project quality, schedule and budget.

Some of Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our clients to understand their needs, constraints, and criteria for success.
- Develop design solutions, weighing the benefits and risks of various options, and helping the client choose a path forward.
- Lead the project team in developing design documents (conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, energy modeling, etc.)
- Coordinate all design disciplines to ensure a comprehensive, code-compliant, and constructable design.
- Manage the client’s expectations throughout the design process.
- Communicate with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to meet objectives and schedules.
- Serve as the Owner’s representative during construction (RFI response, Submittal review, Site inspections, etc.)
- Provide mentorship to less experienced designers and engineers.
To Be Considered You Need:
- 7+ years of experience in the MEP industry
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or higher)
- Professional Engineering License (In Texas or ability to obtain via NCEES Credentials)
